Hurricane is our named breeding elk bull — the anchor of the antlered species program covering elk and red deer. CWD-clean herd since inception, most recently tested February 2026. Brucellosis and tuberculosis tested clean.
Hurricane is the brand name for the antlered species at S&S Acres — elk running alongside our growing red deer program. Homegrown — bred, dropped, and raised on our own land. The genetics here are decided on purpose.
Hurricane — our LL-genotype active bull, the elk genetics we breed today.
Inferno — the LM-genotype legacy bull. He sold in 2025, but his semen lives on via State Line Cryogenics. We cross the LL and LM lines on purpose — complementary genetics for the next generation of breeding stock.

Inferno is the LM-genotype foundation sire whose semen we run through State Line Cryogenics — the genetic complement to Hurricane's LL active breeding line. Crossing the two builds out our future breeding stock with intentional genetic diversity.

Red deer females are hinds, not cows. The growing red deer herd at S&S Acres runs with Gizmo as the named stag, with hinds in seasonal rotation. The red deer program complements the elk side of Hurricane MD's antlered domain — the difference between elk and red deer matters genetically and operationally, and we keep them straight.
